Thoughts for Today: Easter Sunday

The first thought for today comes in the form of a video message from Revd Marion Hartwell who, like many of you, is self-isolating at home.
JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN TODAY, HALLELUJAH!
HE IS RISEN INDEED, HALLELUJAH!

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing sing or say this hymn (from Mission Praise no.689)

Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son,.
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won;
Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away,
Kept the folded grave-clothes where Thy body lay’
Lo! Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb;
Lovingly He greets us scatters fear and gloom;
Let the church with gladness hymns of triumph sing,
For her Lord now liveth; death hath, lost it’s sting.
No more we doubt Thee, glorious Prince of life;
Life is nought without Thee; aid us in our strife;
Make us more than conquerers, through Thy deathless love;
Bring us safe through Jordan to Thy home above.
Thine be the glory, risen conquering Son
Endless is the victory Thou oe’r death hast won.

The Gaelic Blessing

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall softly upon your fields
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Amen
